The Company
RelayQ is built by Precocity Research Limited, an Auckland engineering consultancy that has advised on critical infrastructure systems for a decade. RelayQ grew out of that work: the same failures kept appearing in the edge stacks we were asked to review, so in the last few years we have built the runtime we kept wishing existed. Precocity Research was founded by Zahir Alward in 2016.
RelayQ is a deterministic edge runtime for industrial data systems that brings industrial equipment (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, BACnet/IP) and IoT sensors (MQTT, Sparkplug B) into one data path.
We believe that the edge data path should enforce predictable behavior under failure, not just forward data and hope for the best. RelayQ exists because no existing solution met that standard.
